This book was conceived on the occasion of Holcim's 100"' anniversary. Given free rein to work in the quarries, cement and concrete piants that the construction materials company operates throughout the world, the photographers Marco Grob and Hiepler, Brunier found ideál conditions for a fascinating artistic exploration. Marco Grob made portraits of workers. He singled out unforgettable faces from the 80,000 employees to whom this photo book is dedicated. Each portrait is a window into the depths of individual existence and contemporary life experience. The duo of Hiepler, Brunier photographed the industrial piants. Their images capture production processes which, although identical all over the world, display an individual character in each location. Indem sich die Fotografen Marco Grob und Hiepler, Brunier frei in den Steinbrüchen, Zement- und Betonwerken, die der Baustoffkonzern rund um den Glóbus unterhált, bewegen konnten, wurden die Voraussetzungen zur Realisierung einer herausragenden künstlerischen Recherche geschaffen. Marco Grob portratierte Werktátige. Er löste unvergessliche Gesichter aus den rund 80000 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern, denen dieses Fotobuch gewidmet ist, heraus. Jedes Portrát gibt Einblick in individuelle Lebenstiefen und Existenzerfahrungen unserer Gegenwart. Das Künstlerduo Hiepler, Brunier fotografierte die Produktionsanlagen. Die Industriefotografien vergegenwártigen Produktionsprozesse, die in der globalisierten Welt überall gleich ablaufen und dennoch an jedem Standort eine neue Prásenz erlangen. Mit ihrem prázisen Blick lösen sich die Fotografen von den eingeschliffenen Mechanismen der aktuellen Fotografie ab und katapuitie'ren ihre Arbeiten aus der virtuellen Spielwiese in die Tatsachlichkeit der heutigen Arbeitswelt. Mit ihrer eigenen Bildsprache profilieren sich Marco Grob und Hiepler, Brunier in der aktuellen Fotokunst nachhaltig. Eine kuratorische Auswahl aus dem Fotoprojekt prásentiert das Kunstmuseum Bern 2012. Cette publication a vu le jour á l'occasion des 100 ans d'existence de Holcim. L'opportunité offerte aux photographes Marco Grob et Hiepler, Brunier de se rendre sur les carriéres et les sites de production de ciment et de béton, détenus par le groupe de matériaux de construction dans le monde entier, a constitué le substrat d'une recherche artistique prééminente. Marco Grob a réalisé le portrait des personnes travaillant sur les sites. II a su reconnaitre et immortaliser des visages inoubliables parmi les 80 000 collaboratrices et collaborateurs du groupe auxquels cet album est dédié. Chaque portrait ouvre une porté vers les profondeurs d'une existence et les expériences de vie du sujet. Le duo d'artistes Hiepler, Brunier a photographié les sites de production. Les photographies industrielles retracent les processusde production qui se ressemblent dans le monde globálisé, tout en nécessitant une nouvelle présence sur chaque site. Gráce á leur ceil exercé, les photographes ont la faculté de se distancier des mécanismes bien rodés de la photographié actuelle, d'extraire leur travail de la virtualité et de le projeter dans la réalité du monde du travail contemporain. Gráce á leur langage visuel propre, Marco Grob et Hiepler, Brunier se démarquent durablement dans le paysage de l'art photographique actuel. Le Musée des Beaux-Arts de Berné présentera une sélection curatoriale de leur projet photographique en 2012. Vissza
