Ottawa and Hull are the centre of a National Capital Region which covers 4,662 square kilometres of Eastern Ontario and Western Québec, including all or part of 27 municipalities. It is home to about 745,000 people. Though the federal government was once the largest employer, more and more skilled workers are being attracted to the high technology industries for which Ottawa is becoming known around the world.
Downtown Hull, once languishing economically, is the focus of new development by federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as private interests. The Capital has come a long was from its early logging days. Through the endowment of nature and the work of man, the National Capital is becoming a symbol of unity, a place of beauty and a source of pride to all Canadians.

The Capital has come a long was from its early logging days. Through the endowment of nature and the work of man, the National Capital is becoming a symbol of unity, a place of beauty and a source of pride to all Canadians.
Vissza
