A DICTIONARY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES
Designed for students of the social sciences, public administration, social administration and social work, this dictionary will also be useful to those who work in specialized agencies and international organizations.
The dictionary defines over 7,500 terms, covering all the social sciences with the exception of economics and linguistics. THE AUTHOR
After graduating in Sociology from the University of London, Hugo Reading developed an interest in the philosophy of the social sciences and, being concerned with conceptual analysis, published A Glossary of Sociological Terms in 1963. He was associated for some years with the Social Sciences Centre, Athens, and, adopting the rigorous approach of some of its members, rejected the 'genteel tradition' in the social sciences. Vissza
