This is a story of pioneer aircraft and pilots, of classic First World War machines, of fascinating civil and mili-tary prototypes between the wars, of the Moth and the birth of the light aero-plane movement, and of historic long-distance flights. It telis the history of the Mosquito, of jet-fighter develop-ment, and of the mighty Comet. The Author covers in detail all de Havilland military and civil aircraft from the D.H.l pusher biplane to the D.H.121 Trident jet airliner. He alsó gives a fully illustrated introductory section on Sir Geoffrey de Havilland's earlier experimentál aeroplanes, and the book concludes with an illustrated appendix dealing with the products of the Australian and Canadian com-panies.
