Hungary is a country rich in natural values and resources. However, an increasing number of inhabitants have become conscious about the devastation of this natural environment. The goal of environmental education is to facilitate the solution of these problems.
In the last decades enviromental education developed in various fields: in the number of publications and translations, in the kindergarten, in public as well as higher education, in museums, within the work of civic and professional organizations, even in public administration and, of course, in the media. Both social effectivity and the innovative approach in education calls for a Strategy. A group of Hungarian educators reached a consensus on the most urgent or the long-term tasks and developed a Strategy for Enviromental Education in Hungary. Hereby the Strategy is submitted for discussion and implementation.
The Strategy was initiated and elaborated by non-governmental organizations. Hopefully it would turn a guide... Tovább
