C. C. H. WASHTELL is the Technical Manager of the Nucleonics Division of Labgear, Ltd., Cambridge. He has had many years' experience of the design and use of radioactive detectors and measurement techniques. He has day to day experience in advising scientific and industrial organisations on instrumentation suitable for this field, and is the author of a number of technical papers on the subject. He is a member of the British Institution of Radio Engineers.
Before joining Labgear, Ltd., he was a lecturer in Physics at the Cambridgeshire Technical College; during the Second World War, he was Staff Radar Officer to the Flag Officer, Levant and E. Med., holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander (Special Branch) R.N.V.R.
He is a descendant of John Washtell, builder of King's College Chapel, Cambridge; 1608-1615. He is married, has five children, and lives in a 450 year old house, scheduled as a house of architectural interest, in the... Tovább
