Carolyn L. Stolper is chief development officer of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, one of the country's leading contemporary art museums. Among her achievements has been raising over $40 millión to endow and operate a new museum building. She lives in Chicago. Karén Brooks Hopkins is executive vice president of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, America's oldest perf orming arts center, where she has worked since 1979. Among her achievements have been the completion of successful fundraising campaigns for the Academy's NEXT WAVE Festival of the Contemporary Performing Arts and the Royal Gala benefit for the Welsh National Opera attended by Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Wales. She is the recipient of Norway's King Olav Medál for work on behalf of the Norwegian National Ballet. Ms. Hopkins was an adjunct professor in the Brooklyn College Program for Arts Administration for four years. She has alsó served as fundraising consultant to arts institutions all over the world, including Opera America, Arts International, Fedapt, and many others. Prior to working at BAM, Ms. Hopkins was development director at The New Playwright's Theatre in Washington, DC and director of theatre at the Jewish Community Center in Rockville, Maryland. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland in 1973 and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from George Washington University in 1980. She has one son, Matthew Hopkins, and resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY. Vissza
