Alexander M. Haig, Jr., a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy holds a master's degree in international relations from Georgetown University He has served as vice chief of staff of the Army White House chief of staff in the Nixon Administration, and the supreme allied commander of the NATO forces in Europe, as well as Secretary of State in the Reagan Administration. He is currently a lecturer, and a consultant and board member of several domestic and international corporations. He and his wife, the former Patricia Fox, reside in the Washington, D.C., area.
