Peter A. Clayton is an Egyptologist, archaeologist and numismatist who has excavated at sites in England and Egypt. He is the author of The Rediscovery of Ancient Egypt (Thames & Hudson) and over a dozen books on Egypt and the ancient world as well as numerous articles. For over thirty years he has been a Guest Lecturer on cruises in Egypt and the Mediterranean, and is the Consultant Editor of MinervaiTlie International Review of Ancient Art and Archaeology.
