CYNTHIA AND JULIÁN LENNON, 2005 CYNTHIA LEN NON is one of the closest surviving witnesses of events that have passed into music legend. She met John Lehnon when they were both at art college, and their relationship, coinciding with the start of the Beatles phenomenon, spanned ten of the most important Beatles years. For the first time Cynthia presents not just new and fascinating insights into those legendary times, but alsó telis her full and compelling personal story of marriage to a man who was to become the most idolised and admired of all the Beatles. Since John's assassination in New York in 1980, Cynthia has retained her silence about many of the subsequent events. Now she telis her sitié of the story and is candid about the cruel, as well as the loving, side of the John she knew. She telis of the breakdown of their marriage and the beginning of his relationship with Yoko Ono in more detail than has ever been disclosed before, and reveals the many difficulties estrangement from John - and then his death - brought for herself and their son Julián. . ! Cynthia is a remarkable survivor and this is an extraordinary story about the man she never stopped loving. Cynthia Lennon was born in Blackpool in 1939 and brought up on the Wirral. She went to Liverpool's Junior Art School and graduated to Liverpool College of Art in 1957. There she met John Lennon. They married in 1962 and in 1963 their son, Julián was born. In 1968 their marriage broke down and they were divorced in 1969. Julián remained with Cynthia, but saw John in London and later in New York, where he moved with his second wife, Yoko Ono. Cynthia now lives in Spain with her husband, Noel Charles. Vissza
