Further round, the north-west English coast is bleak, and the farthest parts of Wales, jagged and dramatic, are in contrast to the more picturesque southwest and the marine promenades and fine chalk cliffs of the south coast that complete his journey.
This book gives witness to the magnificence of the British coast. It also points to the encroaching suburbia, the car parks and the nuclear power stations.
