This third edition of Days Out In Cyprus has been revised and updated following the author's latest visit to the rapidly changing island.
Robert Bulmer went to Cyprus for one year and stayed for seven. He lived first in Famagusta and then in Nicosia. With his family he witnessed from uncomfortable proximity the coup against President Makarios and the subsequent Turkish invasion. Having explored at leisure all parts of the island he has written a book with features ranging from the popular holiday centres to the untrodden heights of Troodos. The acknowledged tourist attractions, whether they be beaches, religious buildings, ancient monuments or more general places of interest, are systematically covered, along with many lesser known ones, including some excursions on foot pioneered by the author in Troodos hills.
