The knowledge and art of the ancient Egyptians springs, highly advanced, from a shadowy and unrecorded background some 5000 years ago. Intensively studied, it is still enigmatic. The Egyptian view of creation, life and death can be understood only in the light of other traditions of spiritual growth and development, and in that of modern science.
