When John Constable chose to paint the landscape of Essex almost two centuries ago, he recognised the unique nature of the scenery and light that Essex had to offer. In his turn, photographer David Gynn has been drawn by these same qualities, capturing the essence of the landscape through his exceptional photography. Having lived in Essex all his life, the photographer has the added advantage of knowing many of the untrodden pathways, seeking out the delightful corners of his native county, and capturing the moment that brings light and landscape perfectly together.
