2007 is a critical year for the European Electricity Industry. It marksioyearssincethefirst liberalisation Directive entered into force and is the year when all final electricity customers in the European Union have a free choice of supplier.
2007 is the year the European Commission unveils a bold new Energy Policy for Europe and EURELECTRIC defines a strategy vision on the role of electricity to combat climate change and improve access to secure and competitive energy.
2007 commemorates 10 years since UNIPEDE and EURELECTRIC merged into a single entity, the Union of the Electricity Industry-EURELECTRIC.
