The deep awareness of the social and ethical principles embedded in the Ferrero Group's culture, as well as the tradition of its own endeavours over the last 65 years, have been the inspiration for Michele Ferrero to establish the Ferrero Social Enterprises. The goal of the Ferrero Social Enterprises' project is to continue Ferrero's commitment to actually improving the living conditions of people in the poorest areas of the world. The fundamental mission of the project is achieved through an entrepreneurial model which generates financial resources in order to continue and enlarge its scope. The Ferrero Social Enterprises' mission follows two strictly interconnected paths: • To create jobs in the less developed areas of the countries where the Ferrero Social Enterprises reside. The goal of the Ferrero Social Enterprises' project is to continue Ferrero's commitment to actually improving the living conditions of people in the poorest areas of the world. The Ferrero Social Enterprises' mission follows two strictly interconnected paths: • To create jobs in the less developed areas of the countries where the Ferrero Social Enterprises reside. As well as training people and providing the opportunity to learn a profession, thereby creating conditions for real sustainable development within the communities. • To support social initiatives which promote good health care and education for children living in the areas where the Ferrero Social Enterprises operate. For this purpose, every year each country is provided with a social fund, which is based on the volumes produced by the enterprise. This fund, in agreement with the régiónál Governor (or other Institutional Authority), is used to support social initiatives whose aim is to improve the lives of children. Vissza
