ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bom in 1940 and educated at Wellington School and Brase-nose College, Oxford, Jeffrey Archer became the youngest member of Britain's House of Commons in 1969. He served there through 1974, when he went on to a career as the author of such best-selling novels as Kane & Abel and The Prodigal Daughter.
