The 1986 England cricket tour to the West Indies had everything: cricket, politics, sex, drugs, scandal - and even Frances Edmonds. Despite having been repeatedly told she knows nothing about the game, this is her perceptive, witty and wickedly irreverent account of those disappointing months. Frances, by virtue of her marriage to Middlesex and England player Phil Edmonds had a unique position as an insideobserver throughout the tour, but without the Test and County Cricket Board's 'censorship' restrictions which usually apply to players who write books. Few people escape the Frances Edmonds treatment-press, players, local politicians, and even hotel management come in for her sharp, often hila rious, but ultimately good-natured observations.
