He argues that open society is greatly superior in spite of all its imperfections, but he also stresses the negative aspect of that superiority : open society cannot be brought into existence simply by removing the constraints of a closed society.
This book is a passionate plea for Western assistance, without which there can be no successful transition from totalitarian rule to democracy or from central planning to a market economy. Vissza
