These 40 new mazes, of varying difficulty, include some of the most beautiful and visually interesting mazes to appear in many years. Seven are full-color maze extravaganzas, with vivid waves of color cutting and cross-cutting the sinuous paths of the labyrinth. Many of the black-and-white mazes incorporate bizarre, kinetic op-art effects and other visual illusions designed to complicate the search for the solution or to add to the enjoyment of looking for it.
The author has remarked: "I dislike dead ends in mazes I prefer to have you lost, struggling, twisting, turning in the maze, only to find yourself back where you started." There are two story mazes in this collection, several theme mazes (the driver lost on the highway, the fat man searching for his bath); one "impossible" perspective construction (similar to M. C. Escher's designs); several 3-D mazes, an eccentric circles maze; mazes with special instructions, the Rainbow Maze, and more!
