Lambranzis Neue und curieuse theatrali-
sche Tanzschul nimmt unter den Tanztrak-
taten ihrer Zeit in zweifacher Hinsicht eine
Sonderstellung ein: Zum einen überliefert
sie im Gegensatz zu den am höfischen Tanz
orientierten Darstellungen eine Anzahl folk-
loristischer Tanzelemente, und zwar offen-
bar in zuverlässiger Form, zum anderen
ragt sie durch ihren Reichtum an musika-
lisch reizvollen Melodien über alle konkur-
rierenden Werke hinaus. Bezieht man fer-
ner die Exaktheit und den künstlerischen
Wert der Illustrationen J. G. Puschners in
die Betrachtung ein, so läßt Lambranzis
Tanzschul als wissenschaftliche Quelle wie
als bibliophile Kostbarkeit das in enger ört-
licher und zeitlicher Nachbarschaft entstan-
dene Musicalische Theatrum von J. C. Wei-
gel weit hinter sich. Das Werk, von dem
nur wenige Exemplare auf die Gegenwart
gekommen sind, ist 250 Jahre hindurch
nahezu unbekannt geblieben.
