YORKSHIRE ARTISTS
YORKSHIRE ARTISTS is a series of monographs on mature artists who live and work in Yorkshire. The series aims to bring to the attention of a wider audience the rich variety of artistic talent to be found in the county. Those represented in the series are mostly little-known outside of the north of England, though their contribution to British art deserves to be recognised nationally. The series will encompass a broad spectrum of the visual arts, ranging from painting and sculpture to ceramics and textiles. Each monograph contains an informative biography of the artist and a critical assessment of their work.
The YORKSHIRE ARTISTS monographs will be the first major publication of any description on those artists covered and, as such, are important sources of reference for them. It is hoped that in years to come the series will build into an historically significant record of outstanding artistic merit in Yorkshire during the latter half of the twentieth century.... Tovább
