Man under Vibration Suffering and Protection Edited by G. Bianchi K.V. Frolov A. Ol^dzki In the book which we offerto the reader, new resuits in investigating the influence of vibrations of machines, mechanisms, transport and instruments on the "manoperator", who controls modern technical objects, are represented. Alsó principles of vibroprotection of the "man-operator", methods of simulation and experimentál means for studying dynamical, physiological and functional characteristics of the "man-operator" are elucidated. These problems are discussed at the First International Symposium "Man under Vibration", which took place in Udine, Italy, with the Soviet scientist K.V. Frolov as a Chairman. This Symposium was organized by the International Federation for the Theory of Machines, International Centre for Mechanical Research and International Centre for Health Protection. The book will be useful both for the scientific researchers and for the students.
