The aim of this book is to treat plant physiology from the viewpoint of the whole plant or organ, with particular emphasis on growth and development. However, modern knowledge and current ideas abo^Jt cellular biochemistry and ultrastructure are discussed whenWer this is relevant for comprehension of . physiological events.
