This book describes the theoretical basis of a unique piecewise solution method. By this method engineering and physical systems can be torn apart, solved in sections, and the solutions combined to yield the total solution. The theory presented utilizes open and closed path contours, and generates equation structures using the variables associated with the contours. The methods are shown to utilize the structure of equations generated from the contour theory. Reading this work requires few prerequisites, since the mathematical treatment is elementary. A working knowledge of matrix methods and elementary network theory should suffice.
