Handbook of Industrial Crystallization
Allan S. Myerson
Crystallization, an important separation and purification process, is used in industries ranging from bulk commodity chemicals to specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals. In recent years a number of environmental applications rely on crystallization in waste treatment and recycling processes. Because crystallization and its industrial applications normally are not taught in undergraduate or graduate curricula in chemistry or chemical engineering, until now no single book has contained information needed by a student, researcher, or industrial practitioner The Handbook of Industrial Crystallization is the first to contain material related both to fundamentals and applications of crystallization. This book provides a foundation of fundamental information in the first four chapters, followed by chapters on specific applications such as precipitation, design agitation,,and biomolecules. This book will provide an introduction to... Tovább

This book will provide an introduction to the field for newcomers and a reference for those involved in the various aspects of industrial crystallization.
Allan S. Myerson is the Joseph J. and Violet J. Jacobs Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Polytechnic University. An internationally recognized expert in the field of crystallization, Dr Myerson specializes in metastable solution structure and impurity crystal interactions. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Prior to his position at Polytechnic University, served on the faculty of the University of Dayton and the Georgia Insti^te of Technology. Dr. Myerson has published approximately 60 papers in technical journals and has edited one book,.
