It has been inhabited uninterruptedly since the first settlement period of neolithic age up - to - date and an historical treasury of those periods has been inherited. It appears to be impossible for me to incorporate into this small book, the Cappadocian region, full of history, ful! of works, which attracts the attention of the whole mankind and whereat the Islamic and Christian works are so interlaced one within another as to form and compose a very beautiful setting. My purpose is to be of assistance and provide guidance to the visitors coming in to see this region.
