eter Zoller's book of photographs places the emphasis on the man-made Irish environment. It ranges from city views, showing the bustle of the city streets and the elegance of Georgian architecture, to a countryside littered with town houses, castles, fairy-rings, archaeological sites, battlefields and all the other marks left by human hand.
Ireland has been inhabited for about seven thousand years and this magnificent picture book captures the full surviving cross-section of human achievement in this small island. From Newgrange to the Rock of Cashel, from Gallarus Oratory to the Financial Services Centre, from country railway stations to the Mall in Armagh, from the Belfast City Hall to abandoned houses on the Blasket Islands - it is all here in this superb picture book.
The Photographer
Peter Zöller is a freelance photographer FHe was born in Frankfurt but came to live in Dublin over twenty years ago. FHe now lives in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
