Ward Churchill (Creek/Cherokee Métis) is Co-director of the American Indian Movement of Colorado, Vice Chairperson of the American Indian Anti-Defamation Council, and a National Spokesperson for the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee. An associate professor of American Indian Studies and Communications at;the University of Colorado/Boulder, Churchill serves as Associate Director of the Center for Studies of Ethnicity and Race in America at that institution. His many books include Marxism and Native Americans, Agents of Repression, The COINTELPRO Papers, Fantasies of the Master Race, and Struggle for the Land.
