No DOUBT ABOUT IT, inline skating is the world's fastest-growing sport on wheels. It was originally developed as a way for ice hockey players to train in summer, but it proved so enjoyable as a sport in its own right that it soon took off as a phenomenon which far outstripped ice skating in popularity, and in the process pushed aside skateboards, BMX's and old-style conventional roller skates. Since then, the growth in inline skating has been amazing, with Europe and the USA leading the way, followed by Japan, Australia and many other countries where skating enthusiasts now buy millions of inline skates each year and cover billions of miles on their wheels!
Different people have different names for the sport. Rollerblade was the original American skate manufacturer, and that's why many call it 'rollerblading'. Others shorten this to 'blading', while still others prefer 'inline skating' (because the wheels on each skate are in-line) or 'inlining'. It really doesn't matter... Tovább

It really doesn't matter because it all comes down to the same thing. The sport has grown at a rate which its originators could never have imagined, and in so doing has spawned all kinds of applications and disciplines including recreational, fitness, hockey, speed and the many facets of aggressive skating. They all add up to the great new world of inlining.
Do you want to know about it? Of course you do! The world of inline skating is right here in the pages of this book for you to enjoy. But don't forget to leave time to put on your boots and get skating! Vissza
