The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, founded in 1912, is one of the most magnificent art museuiüs in the world. Its collections represent all of the major Western European schools of art from the fifteenth to twentieth centuries. Its vast holdings of paintings, sculptures, graphic and applied arts illuminate the development of world art and culture from ancient times to the present.
