is a special museum-gallery devoted to the study and presentation of the Yugoslav portrait arts. It started out in 1964 with works donated by Yugoslav artists which were put on display at the "Centar" Elementary School in Tuzla, only to grow intő an originál and dynamic gailery which has made a name for itself. With its standing, periodic and other activities, the Gailery has played a notable role in animating artists and engages in cooperation with kindred institutions in the country and abroad. This unique documentary, historical collection of Tito's portraits is constantly enlarged with new donations and systematic purchases. THE "ISMÉT MUJEZINOVIC" GALLERY is a separate exhibition space within the Yugoslav Portrait Gailery. The selection and presentation of works offers a cross-section of Mujezinovic's 55 years of involvement in Yugoslav art. THE INTERNATIONAL COLLECTION OF PORTRAIT DRAWINGS AND ENGRAVINGS is a separate exhibition of drawings and prints by Yugoslav and foreign artists who have taken part in the International Biennial Festival of Portraits. SÁLON 13, founded in 1972, organizes condenséd retrospectives of works by the oldest generation of Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Yugoslav artists. THE TUZLA SÁLON 13 has been exhibiting works by the middle generation of Yugoslav artists since 1978. The aim of these exhibitions is to present the modern works of artists from all the Yugoslav republics and provinces. THE EXHIBITION OF YUGOSLAV PORTRAITS is a quadrennial event started in Tuzla in 1967. It is one of the largest art exhibitions in Yugoslavia. INTERBIFEP - THE INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL FESTIVAL OF PORTRAITS, DRAWINGS AND PRINTS is the first international art event in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and one of the few in Yugoslavia. These exhibitions are Keld in the old quarter of Tuzla, away from the conventionality and uniformity of gailery halls, and this marks a major step forward in the socialization of art. THE GALLERY CLUB brings together frjends of the arts with a view to fostering interest in other areas of creativity. It organizes film shows and talks on specific artists and periods of art, videó and slide projections, music and literary soirées, exhibitions of children's works etc. THE EXHIBITION PAVILION is a separate exhibition hall which organizes one-man, group and collective shows. as weil as other exhibitions and cultural programs.
