Nevertheless in 1996 'Tegenstem men' ('Oppositional Voices') was published -with more success than I could have imagined.' Jan Marijnissen, leader and MP of the radical Dutch Socialist Party (SP) is now one of Holland's most respected and best known politicians, although his position in the political spectrum only attracts a modest (but fast growing) minority of the Dutch electorate.
In Enough! - a Dutch socialist bites back Marijnissen summarizes and internationalizes his opposition against the ideological main stream in today's politics throughout the world. Neoliberalism, argues Marijnissen, causes the return to 19th century social and democratic circumstances - at the verge of the 21st century. Those who do not agree have the duty to stand up and say: enough - and bite back.
