This book, mainly for lower secondary classes, can be used either in ordinary English lessons or in drama classes (a special studio and speciálist drama teaching are not essential though of course they would be useful).
Each section of this book contains*
• a short play on a particular theme.
• 'Quickies' - drama exercises and games related to the theme.
• 'Starting points' - ideas for improvisation, role play and students' own scriptwriting.
Though Take One is completely seif-contained, the fhemes are chosen to reflect somé of those included in the first core book of the lower secondary
materials In the Picture.
Supporting Teachers's Notes (ISBN O 85950 558 8) provide introductory notes on handling drama suggestions for organising individual activities, and materiai which only certain members of the class should see (e.g. briefing notes for characters).
