After twenty years of academic research at the Institute he turned his attention to industry, founding a hi-tech company. As the company grew, so did the burden of management, leaving him little time for scientific and technical matters. One day, as he was heckling the works committee, he realised that the time had come to quit. He undertook various tasks in both public and private sectors, including a term as Chief Scientist of the Israeli Police before settling down to the peaceful existence of a freelance industrial consultant and part-time writer. One of his longtime passions has been blue water sailing. He is married with two offspring and a slew of grandchildren.
