Katharine Weber's first fiction in print was a portion of this novel that appeared in The New Yorker. Recently named a regional winner in the Granta "Best of Young American Novelists" contest, her fiction has also been published in Story and Redbook. She lives in Bethany, Connecticut, with her husband and their two daughters.
