EUROPEAN ROMA RIGHTS CENTRE The Europeati Roma Rigltts Centre (ERRC) is an international public interest law organisation engaging in a rangé of activities aimed at combating anti-Romani racism and humán rights abuse of Roma. The approach of the ERRC involves, in particular, strategic litigation, international advocacy, research and policy development, and training of Romani activists. The ERRC has consultative status with the Council of Europe, as well as with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. In 2008, the ERRC was nominated for the Sakharov prize of the European Parliament. In previous years, the ERRC has bcen the winner of the Max van der Stoel avvard given by the High Commissioner on National Minorities and the Dutch Foreign Ministry (2007) and the the Geuzenpenning award (the Geuzen medál of honour) by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of Netherlands in recognition of the ERRCs contribution to "the preservation and promotion of democracy and the...
