Fülszöveg

Echohawk was very young when he was taken from his white family and adopted into a Mohican tribe. He has become part of the Mohican community: he speaks and thinks in the Mohican language and is an expert hunter. He even faces his coming-of-age vision quest, despite doubts that the son of white settlers could possibly succeed. Echohawk's new father, Glickihigan, and brother, Bamaineo, are his family now. He can't even remember his English name.
Not until Glickihigan-hoping an English education will help them in the rapidly changing world-sends Echohawk and Bamaineo to be schooled by whites do Echohawk's earliest memories begin to resurface. Echohawk finds himself facing a choice between the world he knows and the world he came from, a choice all the more difficult because the Mohican way of life may be disappearing forever.
Aided in her research by the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican band, Lynda Durrant has created an authentically detailed picture of life in the Hudson River... Tovább

Aided in her research by the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican band, Lynda Durrant has created an authentically detailed picture of life in the Hudson River Valley in the early eighteenth century, and has made it the setting for an unforgettable adventure. Vissza
