THEOLOGY / CHURCH HISTORY
In Readings in the History of Christian Theology, Volume 2: From the Reformation to the Present, William C. Placher begins with a decisive transition, the Reformation of the sixteenth century, and opens with an excerpt from Martin Luther's The Freedom of a Christian. "William C. Placher's two volumes contain the best available collection of documents for teaching the history of Christian thought. He has produced an anthology of texts that allows the rich diversity within the Christian tradition to be heard."— Garrett Green, Professor of Religious Studies, Connecticut College
