This book is about industrial sociology - its function and development. A great deal of research and theory has been invested in the subject since the beginning of the century, and within an increasingly complex industrial society the need to understand why men work and how managers and managed can best relate to each other is a pressing one. Michael Rose has been a lecturer ín industry, work and organizations atthe University of Bath, since 1969, and is an Associate Fellow of lts Centrefor European, Industrial Studies. Vissza
