The potential of icon-based simulation tools has only recently been fully appreciated and is now being exploited for the simulation of large-scale systems. Modern advanced simulation tools enable such systems to be analysed rapidly, aiding both the design process and the task of identifying improvements to existing systems.
Modelling and Simulation of Power Generation Plants reports on the research at the Industrial Control Centre, University of Strathclyde, in collaboration with John Brown Engineering Ltd and Scottish Power pic. It discusses how simulation tools can be used to establish a simulation library for power generation plant.
