about the author . . .
Roger W. Binkley is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he has been affiliated since 1966. The author or coauthor of over 60 articles. Dr. Binkley is special editions editor of the Journal of Carbohydrate Chemistry (Marcel Dekker, Inc.) and an editorial board member of Methods in Carbohydrate Chemistry. He has presented many papers and lectured widely in die areas of carbohydrate chemistry and photochemistry, and has been the recipient of numerous research grants. Dr. Binkley received the B.A. (1962) degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, and Ph.D. (1966) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
