U.S. Warships
of World War II
PAUL H. SILVERSTONE
Here is the most comprehensive handbook ever compiled on the United States Naval forces in the Second World War. Rather than being a history of the Navy in the war, this is a most complete and detailed survey of all the major ships and most support vessels of both the Navy and the Coast Guard. The author of this pocket-sized "Jane's", Paul H. Silverstone, is a member of the U.S. Naval Institute, the World Ship Society (honorary), and the Belgian Nautical Research Association. In the compilation of this unique work he had the full cooperation of the Department of the Navy.
