P.E.T Preparation and Practice introduces students to the Cambridge Preliminary English Test, develops the skills required to pass, and provides opportunities to assess progress through practice test questions.
The structure of the book follows the order of the skill components in the test - reading, writing, listening and speaking. Each part of each component is taken in turn and starts with a clear explanation of what is tested. The preparation exercises which follow develop student awareness of the tasks involved and give guidance on how best to answer each question.
Test practice is provided through three practice tests, two of which are integrated with the preparation work, and one which appears in full at the end of the book. This approach enables students to build up their confidence through systematic practice of examination techniques and regular test practice.

A C90 cassette provides the preparation and practice material for the listening component of the test.
