THE EDITORS
Dennis Lock began his career with the General Electric Company as an electronics engineer, and his first management appointment was as Contracts Control Manager with the Medical Division of Honeywell Controls Limited. His management experience since then has embraced an unusually wide variety of industries, ranging from the manufacture of subminiature electronic assemblies to giant machine tools and mining engineering. He has also carried out consultancy assignments in the UK and overseas. In 1971 he joined Seltrust Engineering Limited, where he is now Office Services Manager. Mr Lock is the author of numerous articles on management and has written or edited several books for Gower, including the outstandingly successful Project Management.
Nigel Farrow is Managing Director of Gower Publishing Company Limited. He has been a business journalist, author and publisher for more than twenty years, as well as holding senior positions in the management of international businesses. He founded Gower Publishing Company in 1967, which since then has published over 500 titles on every aspect of business management. In a parallel management career, Nigel Farrow was International Vice President of Xerox Publishing Company from 1971 to 1976 and since then has been a director of several leading international companies in the fields of information management, educational publishing, and business training.
