220 black and white and colour photographs from 27 countries are contained in this 1982 edition of the Photography Year Book. The book has an international following from both contributors and readers and contains no cultural or political barriers, with entries coming from both eastern and western parts of the globe.
The success of the Photography Year Book which has been published annually since 1935, with a few exceptions during the war years, is in its wide appeal. It has a broad approach with contributions from both amateurs and professionals.
This year has seen yet again a staggering increase in the number of entries submitted and shows a trend back to black and white pictures amongst advanced creative photographers.
The emphasis of the Editor has been on originality. Fields covered are landscape, portraiture, sports, people in action, travel, natural history and photo-journalism and, for the first time, this edition includes photographs made by laser, the Colorvir process... Tovább
