Pillar European Club was established in 1999 to continue the work of the Strasbourg Prizewinners' Gathering of the European Competition organized by Europe at School. The primary objective of Pillar EC is to maintain a network of young people cooperating with each other, discussing issues related to European integration. Our latest international initiative - Project InterEurope - focused on the ethnic and national minorities living in Hungary. As Project InterEurope continues, the Club plans to hold its next gathering in Amsterdam in 2002. The new topic we have chosen is Tolerance. Besides the international programs Pillar has launched a local research project related to the discrimination of Roma people in Hungárián education. By... Tovább

As Project InterEurope continues, the Club plans to hold its next gathering in Amsterdam in 2002. The new topic we have chosen is Tolerance. Besides the international programs Pillar has launched a local research project related to the discrimination of Roma people in Hungárián education. By setting up local projects we would liké to enhance the students' awareness of problems that need to be dealt with on the way to European unification. Finally, through our initiatives we would like to set up new channels of communication for young people to learn about multicultural society, to exchange information, and to identify the key issues in Europe today. To achieve these aims Pillar European Club has started constructing a multifunctional website for connecting students alt over the continent (www.pillar.hu). Vissza
