Reading Human Rights: an annotated Guide to a Human Rights Library is designed to help individuals and groups active in human rights to locate easily comprehensible publications on the subject. It contains almost 100 titles of books and journals, each annotated to assist readers in I choosing material of most use to them.
Items have been selected for their practical use; most are accessible to a lay readership. Particular effort has been made to include books of the readily accessible 'handbook' type. In a fev^ areas, encyclopaedic treatments have been included for the benefit of specialists in the area in question. I Where appropriate the annotations provide
guidance to the level of difficulty and the ^ suitability of works for particular purposes.
The modest size of the Guide should make it feasible for at least same groups to acquire the whole list, or a substantial part of it. It may also assist groups seeking funding for the development of good working human rights... Tovább
