BECENT FLAVONOID RESEARCH
This new volume of the series deals with a branch of organic chemistry which has great traditions in Hungary. The material has accumulated partly from the chemical lectures held at the 3rd Bioflavonoid Symposium (G. B. Marini-Bettolo: "On some derivatives related to flavones"; L. Hor-hammer, G. Aurnhammer and H. Wagner: "Synthesis of Citrus flavonoid glycosides"; H. Wagner: "The antihepatotoxic agent of Silybum marianum Gaertn."; D. M. Droumev and D. A. Pashov: "Effect of the flavonoid mixture isolated from Agrimonia eupatoria on the cardiovascular and vegetative nervous system").The other part of the book gives a survey and summary of Hungarian chemical research on flavonoids from 1950 until today (R. Bognár et al.: "Survey of the research on flavonoids"; L. Farkas and A. Major: "Research of flavonoid compounds 1957—1971"; F. Kállay: "The reactions of flavonoid compounds with hydrazines").
