Socialist économies has for some time now been in disarray. East European économies have repeatedly failed to perform to the levels of West European économies. In addition, many of the economic policies of socialist governments in the West have ended in profound difficulty.
Rethinking Socialist Economies faces up squarely to these problems. It offers nothing less than a major re-examination of socialist economic thoüght and the nature of British economic policy.
